Taming Tongues
Win With Words
Taming Tongues brings understanding about the power of our words to all ages and helps people use words carefully. This book show why words are important, where they are generated, and how to change our words to agree with God and make them a gift to bless ourselves and others.
How do we win in life with our words?
We forge our future with our words because what we say directs our lives and our decisions. We agree with what God says about us instead of what the world says about us. We encourage and bless others with our words by avoiding gossip, lies, and slander and releasing truth and encouragement.
Your words are your choice; you direct your life with your voice.
Words can make others feel terrible, making relationships unbearable!
Words can affect others for good, lovingly making them feel understood.
What you say about yourself can make a difference between sickness and health.
Agreeing with God’s thoughts about you will build in you an identity that is true.
Jesus tames the tongue by healing the heart, words can be received or rejected from the start.
Filtering words carefully will cause a shift as you shape yours words to make each one a gift!
The coaching that uses Taming Tongues focuses on parents helping their children to direct their lives with their words, strengthen their God given identity, and make their words like pleasing gifts to others and themselves.

Ā
I read this book with my 10 year old grandson who has trouble with anger. He is a young believer and when I asked him what he liked about the book he said he liked the Bible verses on each page and how it told about keeping a clean heart. He also said he liked how it talked about how Jesus is always with us and helps us with our tongue. He said he liked the pictures and it was a pretty good book.
This is a very good book for children and the poetry style helps keep their attention. It provides a way to talk to children about what the tongue can do both good and bad.

Ā Positive solution to our thoughts and words!
So many times we say things without thinking and often are surprised by the response of others to our words. Whether we mean our words to be hurtful or just say them in passing, they have a huge impact on the one receiving them and can shape lives for years to come either negatively or positively. Taming Tongues is beautifully written weaving scripture, poetry and art to shape the lives of both children and adults in the use of the tongue. Each page is filled with different ways we use the tongue every day and points us to Godā€™s word as a way to learn to speak life.

Ā The power of the spoken word!
This book contains valuable life nuggets not only for children, but also for adults! The message is clear, "Choose your words carefully because they have the potential to bring life and encouragement or death and destruction to those we care about". Ultimately we have a choice as to whether we receive or reject the words spoken to us. The colorful illustrations and layout grab the reader's attention and I especially like the large bold truths which swirl through each page. I read them through the book first and then went back and read the text. It would have loved to have thad his book when my grandkids were young.
